Spark and Salvage is a for profit LLC, donations are not tax deductible, however:
Business Expense (Yes, Deductible)
You can still write off the items, but as an ordinary and necessary Business Expense rather than a charitable write-off:
Liquidation/Wholesale: If you sell your excess or obsolete inventory to a reseller for cash, you record the revenue as income. You can then deduct the original manufacturing or wholesale costs of those items as Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Disposal/Scrapping: If you discard unsellable items or give them to a reseller for absolutely zero compensation, you can generally write off the items as a business loss.
-
Your donation will be used to spark creativity. Items will be used for classes, workshops and creative events.
Some items may be resold as creative materials. Items are sold at affordable prices intended for creative use.
