Studio Policies & Classroom Guidelines

Our 1,700 square feet of glorious, gritty creative chaos runs on structure just as much as it runs on glitter and glue guns. These policies exist so the space stays safe, sane, and sustainable — for your kiddo, our instructors, and the salmonberries that keep this whole thing rooted. Read on before you book.

Cancellation Policy

Life in the rainforest is unpredictable — we get it. Give us at least 24 hours' notice and you'll get a full refund or class credit, no questions asked. Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or miss class without a word? That session's non-refundable — no exceptions, no credits. It's the one rule we don't bend, because a held spot is a spot someone else couldn't have.

(We do also promise: if we're the ones who need to cancel a class, you'll get a full refund or a transfer — always.)

Late Arrivals & Absences

Running behind? Traffic, tantrums, tide tables — we've all been there. Just give us a heads-up if you can, and your student walks in to a warm welcome and a quick catch-up from our instructors. No shame, no missed magic.

Waitlist Proration

Jumping in from the waitlist mid-series? You're not paying for classes you didn't get. Tuition is automatically prorated the moment you join, so you only pay for what's left on the calendar.

Authorized Pick-Up

If someone other than you is springing your maker from the studio — grandparent, neighbor, carpool hero — let us know in advance. We won't release a student to anyone we haven't been told about, no exceptions.

Behavior Expectations

This is a space built on kindness, curiosity, and a little bit of moxy — not chaos. We ask every maker to bring respectful, safe behavior toward instructors and peers, and a willingness to pitch in when it's clean-up time. Active participation and a good attitude are what keep this place fun for everyone, every session.

Pick-Up & Room Reset

Promptness matters here — not just for our schedule, but for your kid's sense of ownership. Students aren't released until their station (and the room) is back in order. Building responsibility is part of the curriculum, not an afterthought. If you're in a hurry, jump in and reset alongside your child — many hands make quick (and bonding) work.

Restroom Policy

The studio doesn't have a restroom on-site, but one's just around the corner in the building. Students sign out with an instructor before they go, and — depending on age — travel the buddy-system way, because two salmonberries are safer than one.
